Kaunas

UAB “Saunita”, located in Kaunas, has been operating in the market for nineteen years, developing its activities in the fields of production and installation of various saunas: saunas, steam saunas, steam (Turkish), infrared rays. The company’s products are in demand not only in Lithuania, but also in the international market.

In 2014-2015, the company successfully implemented the project “UAB Saunita Export Development” (No. VP2-2.1-ŪM-04-K-05-035), which aimed to increase its productivity by ensuring development in foreign markets. The project was implemented in accordance with the Lithuanian Strategy for the Utilization of European Union Structural Assistance for 2007-2013 and the Economic Growth Operational Program Priority 2.2 “Increasing Business Productivity and Improving the Business Environment” implementation measure “New Opportunities” (VP2-2.1-ŪM-04-K).

An amount of EUR 30,834.97 was allocated for the implementation of this project from the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union, which covered 60 percent. project costs, and thus strongly contributed to the company’s ability to participate representatively in international exhibitions. The company had to allocate only EUR 20,556.65 of its own funds for the implementation of the project.

During the project, the company successfully participated in five international exhibitions: “Interbad 2014″ (Germany, 2014), “SalonPiscine & biene-etre 2014 Paris” (France, 2014), “UK Pool & Spa Expo” (United Kingdom, 2015), “House I 2015″ (Latvia, 2015) and “AQUA-THERM 2015″ (Poland, 2015). Thanks to these exhibitions, according to the company’s director Dainius Burokas, the company has established close contacts with more than 80 potential customers from various countries around the world.

The achieved positive results in international exhibitions allow us to predict that in the coming years UAB Saunita will be able to achieve the set primary goals of export development. Also, the development of exports to new foreign markets and the increase of sales channels in the existing markets will have a long-term positive impact both on the company itself and on the development of the Lithuanian economy as a whole.
